At the age of 65, most people think about retirement. But Colonel Harland Sanders, the founder of KFC, had a different plan.
After running a small restaurant for years, he found himself nearly bankrupt when a new highway diverted traffic away from his business. With only his secret fried chicken recipe and a strong belief in his product, he set out on a journey to sell his recipe to restaurants.
He knocked on 1009 doors, facing rejection after rejection. But he didn’t give up. On the 1010th attempt, one restaurant agreed to try his recipe. That small success led to the birth of KFC, which is now one of the largest fast-food chains in the world.
Lesson: Success doesn’t come overnight. Persistence, resilience, and self-belief can turn any failure into a great success.
